I was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews. My family and I found the complete opposite. Great service and great food! I had the best clam chowder I have ever had. The kids loved it. Thanks!
New ownership?????. WE have been dining at Gl for 12 years and it has always been a favourite. We went for dinner tonight both opting to have the Autumn Salad. My husband the full salad and me the half. The disappointment after all these years is … well, disappointing to say the least. Enough so that it will be our last visit. It was less than 3 cups of lettuce, including both salads, with a little blue cheese crumbles and a few walnuts, with the portion size so small we left there, after paying a $40 tab which included an $8 glass of wine, to have dinner elsewhere. what has happened??? There were only a few patrons and the band offered to play after the large party of 12 were finished with their dinner. Our service was as good as ever but it was so evident that ther has been a significant change in the kitchen. WE are sad. We truly loved knowing we would always go to our favourite and now …well… THIS IS ONLY THE 2ND TIME I HAVE POSTED A REVIEW. THE OTHER BECAUSE IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE! We contemplated talking to the owner/manager but decided someone has made the decision to not be paying attention as the resturant was almost emplty. Obviously, others have experienced similar situations….
Best blackened shrimp I’ve ever had!! Also, the grilled mahi mahi is amazing! Try the vidalia onion pie! Service was fair and the atmosphere was fun.
Horrible service. Have never tried the food, went twice and after waiting over 20 minutes each time, walked out without ordering.
No rushing it. Great food, but do not be in a hurry!! the staff is over loaded with tables, so you have to be patient. also keep in mind any party over 7 the tip of 18% is automatically added to your check. so then there is less for the staff to work at getting a decent tip, since you are already stuck tipping them!also, if you are not a dawgs fan….do not go on a game day!!
