Had oyster poor boy, beer and some wings here for lunch and found the food tasty and hot. Kitchen (or server) got it wrong at first with a shrimp poor boy being served instead. Hade to wait longer for the correct order. If charging, watch your bill, as they increased my bill without authorization and I assume it was to up the server’s tip from 15% to 20%! Not enough to dispute, but enough to keep me from going back, or at least reminding me to leave cash tips only from now on!
I wanted to like it…… But it was about as bland as it comes. My shrimp Po’Boy was a few (expertly cooked) small shrimp on the worst off-the-shelf roll or something. My wife had the tuna melt and while it looked interesting, it tasted like starkist tuna and supermarket cheddar. Nothing original, nothing outstanding. The place was packed and they seemed overwhelmed…. Can’t blame the server really, but sssslllloowwww. For 45 bucks for three entrees and some brew sweet teas, I was sorry I stopped in….. Sadly, I’ve been dragged here several times and it gets progressively worse. I’m leaving it at 2.5 instead of 2, because I’m trying to be nice.
