The service and the entrees were good. We upgraded with recommended sides and were very disappointed with them. I had the asparagus which was puny and nothing special. I give it a B.

How breakfast is done-. The first thing that you notice about the caf is the bustle. The wait staff move about the smallish restaurant with the skill of a small platoon of ice skaters. Each waiter or waitress stops briefly to ask if everything is ok- I like that. The next thing that the eye catches are the bright paintings coloring canvases hung on the walls. They are whimsical, beautiful and dress down our Sundays nicely. Then there is the food: We eat Sunday breakfast there as often as possible. It is…in the words of my Louisiana wife, divine. I typically have the biscuits and gravy. My plate comes with two enormous and exceptionally tasty pieces of southern manna bathed in a white gravy infused with sausage and ham. This gravy is so good that when I’m done with the biscuits I go after it with my coffee spoon- lest any of it escape. And another thing…no one fiddles with their phone while eating here. That’s a clue. It’s a nice place to be.

Cute cafe with wonderful paintings on the wall for sale. I got an aspargus salad & fried green beans. Both were superb! Salad was filling & all the flavors tasted great together. Service wasnt great or very friendly though. I like the place despite the lack of service

Breakfast. I’ve been in the area for over a year and Mallery Street has the best breakfast around. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but its well worth it.

Fab. Try the crepes, full of seafood in a leek cream sauce, oh and the asparagus…..can’t wait to go back.

Don’t waste your time or money! Dry pancakes, lumpy grits, bland omelet. Breakfast for 2 was $20, better off going to waffle house!

Amazing and cheap breakfast and lunch. Great place to pop in for a quick breakfast or lunch. Everything they make is delicious and a little unique. Try the french toast sticks (if you don’t want to make a meal of them, order some for the table as an appetizer… you won’t regret it). For lunch, the chicken caesar salad is like no other–poached egg on top makes it–and the chicken piccatta is DELICIOUS. Mallery Street Cafe IS a small family owned business so it’s true that sometimes they get overwhelmed but even if you have to wait a little longer for your food, know that the people who own this place and cook your meals are incredibly sweet and genuinely care about what they do.
