As soon as you step in to this place you know it’s special. We had a party of seven and they took care of every individual person with the same kindness and gratitude. After the excellent service of course you would expect nothing less with the food and they did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal. What a treat it was when the chef kept sending out delicious delicates. My favorite was an oyster and a potbelly slider.
Although an expensive meal, one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s an experience like no other. Definitely recommend if you’re willing to spend the money on it. It’s 5 star for a reason!
Lana F. We attended the food and wine paring Memorial Day weekend 2012. Both food and wine were delicious; however, from the time we made the reservation, I was shocked at the service. We called for details, and later called to make a reservation. During the latter call, we were told we couldn’t attend the dinner unless we were residents of Sea Island. Apparently there was a miscommunication among staff members, as were able to make a reservation.When we entered the parlor the hostess requested to ‘hold’ a credit card. Her request was denied. Couldn’t help but feel as if she was concerned that we would skip out before we paid our bill. We asked for bottled mineral water FOUR times before any was brought to the table. Before the first glass was consumed, one attentive staff member refilled our glasses with tap water. Given the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere, the service here is mismatched!
Great dining experience. Everything you should expect from a five star establishment. They are on the Forbes list of finest restaurants in the world and it’s obvious to tell why. Be forwarned don’t show up with a budget. Expect to spend a LOT, in return you get an experience that is truely priceless.
Best meal my husband and I have ever had. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. We were on our honeymoon and the attention to detail in regard to food and atmosphere is unmatched, down to the bride and groom votive holder on our table. They even brought an embroidered stool for my clutch! The famous ceasar salad was the perfect combination of salty, creamy and crispy! The cheese course was a delicious variety of local cheeses and preserves. The French press coffee and praline pecan bread pudding topped of an outstanding meal that was too good to describe!
