Good sushi and hibachi close to home.. I have been going to Nagano for several years now and have never had a bad meal. Most of the time I just go for sushi and highly recommend the Grayson Roll but substitute cream cheese for the avacado. Yummy! I have also taken friends and my staff to Nagano for hibachi on several occasions and always enjoyed it.

Don’t go to this restaurant!!. Convinced hubby to try Nagano, close to home but he’s not big fan of hibashi. Anyway, fried rice was greasy & expensive at extra $2.50. Rest of food wasn’t bad. When it got time to pay, we left tip in cash & paid for bill with cc. Few days later noticed the charge was increased adding extra $8 which I didn’t add??? So they kept tip in cash plus sneaky added additional amount. I had already thrown away my receipt, but that’s no way to do business!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually good. I’ve been to Nagano many times, but let me qualifiy my comments by saying I’ve only ever had their hibachi grill and that always with a group totally made up of people I knew. I’ve never had the sushi bar or ordered from the menu. The food is generally good, at times even excellent, just depending upon that day’s cook – That can cause variations at any hibachi grill. Like all hibachi steakhouses, it’s a bit expensive for what it is, especially by the time you pay extra for fried rice, which everyone does, LOL, but at least you can often find coupons for them. We like their sauces and their ginger dressing better than some of the other local restaurants. Hibachi meals all include soup, salad and dessert. We have some with shellfish allergies in our group, and the chef’s are always quite accomodating about cooking shrimp or lobster at the end for us, although communicating that can sometimes be tricky, as you might expect. It’s good bet when you have a larger group and no reservations – you can usually get in without too much of a wait.

We went on a Friday night and sat in the sushi bar and ordered from the dinner menu. Our meals came out at different times and was cold. Disappointing and we won’t be back.

Cold food anyone??. After finding our favorite Japanese restaurant closed, we thought we would give Nagano a try. Maybe our first mistake was being seated at the sushi bar and ordering from the main menu? Our order was taken in a decent amount of time and our soup and salads were delivered somewhat orderly as well. However, once we placed our order, it took quite a while to receive our food. When our food arrived, it was COLD. Not warm or even room temperature, but COLD. Seeing as how our waitress rarely came by our table, we finally got our first drink refill when we got our check. Another letdown, was the fried rice. We both ordered fried rice for an extra $2.50 each, and when we took a bit of it, it was bland and tasted like old grease. Maybe this was a bad night for dining there, but we will not be returning. It was a total waste of $50.
