BEST FOOD IN TOWN!!!. My family and I eat there all the time and we have been eating there for years. Food is great and has great flavor. My favorite restaurant in griffin.
Mrs.. I simply just love Maria’s….. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I have been going to Maria’s since I was a little girl on and off. My dad used to be a painter and would go almost everyday! The customer service is GREAT! They are really fair prices and amazing…. FOOD! I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone… 🙂
Unfortunate Hidden Surprise. Maria’s Mexican food isn’t that bad. Always warm, and always tasty. That’s not the problem.On Maria’s menu, they have huge warnings telling customers that all their food is served with yellow cheese, and you must request to have white cheese put on your food. That’s all well and good… until you realize at the end of your meal that they charge you a dollar extra for every meal you put white cheese on. Does their menu warn customers about this charge? No, it doesn’t. You will not know until your meal is a couple bucks more expensive than you’d planned, and they won’t take the charge off of your bill.My other problem with Maria’s comes from personal experience. My family and I ate at Maria’s one evening. A particular plate of nachos could either be bought at full size or half size. I ordered a half size, but unbeknownst to me, our waitress brought me a full size. I didn’t know the difference because I’d never had the nachos before, so I was not aware of this mistake until we got our bill and I noticed they’d charged us for a full plate. When we brought this up with the manager and the waitress was brought forward, she admitted her mistake, but guess what? We were still charged for the full plate. WE paid for HER mistake, and that is completely unacceptable. My father, who was paying for the meal, let it go and didn’t argue, but later regretted it.We enjoy the food at Maria’s, but hidden charges and paying for the employees’ mistakes is unacceptable. Particularly in an economy where a tight budget is entirely common. We will not be going back.
