Expensive but you get a lot of food. The CRABLEGS weren’t very flavorful and the calamari wasn’t very good either. Service was great! Our server was awesome. Tables around me were very dirty most of our stay. No music was playing so all you can hear is other people’s conversations. But overall it was decent.
Expensive, but you get a good amount of food. The platter and an app were plenty for my girlfriend and me. It seemed to be a nice shorts and Tshirt kind of place. We’ll most likely be returning. Just not an every week kind of place due to the cost.
Expensive seafood. But well worth it for the amount of food you get. There is also a hole in the table, for those that don’t know it’s for all the crab shells. Most dinners are $24+
Best seafood in savannah. We are never disappointed when we go there. we live raw oysters but they were $17 for a dozen. a much better deal is to get the combo with oysters like snow crab and oysters it is $27.00 and you get 1 doz oysters 1 lb snow crab and 2 sides. a much better bang for the buck. generally the portions are huge and very good. I had snow crab and crawfish, very yummy. even though the parking lot was almost full we got right in. so don’t leave because you think its too busy. they have a ton of tables! we will be back!06 Dec, 20141 LB Snow Crab & Oysters*. TERRIBLE. I ate dinner there tonight and it was the worst seafood I have ever eaten. I ordered Fried Shrimp and Oysters. They were over cook and had not taste. My salad plate and also the same size plate at my entre plate. The food was over priced. Total bill was 29.00 and I drank tea. Very over priced and not good at all. This place was recommended to me by my boss. I can’t wait to tell him tomorrow that he does not know a damn thing about good seafood.
Not worth the money. Food was horrible and too expensive. Served on plastic plates with plastic forks and spoons. Should be an embarrassment to the lovely city of Savannah.
HELL HOUSE. I am sorry; the food here was horrible. Earlier today I had AJ’s Dockside @ Tybee Island for lunch, and then heard that this place would be great for dinner per our hotel….disappointed. I had my tastebuds ready, because AJ’s did not disappoint! I ordered the crabcake and scallop combination with green beans and corn on the cobb. 1) Where was the crab in the crab cake?? Mostly breading and overcooked 2) The scallops were rubbery and both tasted like they were fried, previously frozen, thawed out, and cooked in old grease. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. The best things on my plate were the vegetables; I ended up throwing my food away. My waitress was very nice-great customer service!!!! but Sorry Shell House, I will only be stopping by AJ’s next time for some FRESSSSHHHHH seafood.
