Will never eat there again .ordered baked chicken squash casserole and cumber salad Let’s start with what I thought baked chicken Should be well I was wrong their version was 6 chicken wings . Now onto the squash casserole was cold . When I said something to the waitress. She disappeared never to return to the table expect . To bring the checks . Didn’t even bother to get the manger nothing . I think about the only thing that was half way decent was the cumber salad. Plus the bean bar was closed at 8 pm .So don’t waste your money .
NEVER AGAIN. Ate here this evening and was TOTALLY disappointed! I noticed the higher than average prices on the menu but figured its probably a good size portion for the money- WRONG. There wasn’t but a few customers there as it was. Waitress took my order, brought me my drink, then my food- got the order wrong, asked her to fix it and then just disappeared into the back of the restaurant- never saw her again. Portions were skimpy for the money- mashed potatoes were dry, hush puppies were burnt, biscuit was a hockey puck- waitress never returned to ask if I wanted a refill or anything else- I even looked around for her. When I was done, I waited for her to bring me my bill, no wheres to be found. I had to go to the take-out counter and ask for a to go box and pay for my food- the girl who appeared to be some sort of a manager was very young, the entire staff was very YOUNG- SHE WAS RUNNING THE DRIVE THRU- she couldnt find the waitress and had to get someone else to help me- didnt apologize for the crappy service or nothing- this place is POORLY MANAGED, POORLY LOCATED and POOR all the way around- the menu needs to be re-designed because it was a bit confusing- Can’t be compared to Cracker Barrel for sure- NOT WORTH THE MONEY- SOME ONE NEEDS TO TAKE CHARGE OF THIS PLACE Because I dont see how its still in business. THUMBS DOWN
The gizzards were actually really good. The fried green tomatoes were unusually sweet which was weird to me because they’re supposed to be a savory dish. I got steamed broccoli which was just fine. The brown gravy tastes like it came from a can. I was told to get the peach bread which was good. However I must say it was no more than a peach breakfast muffin like the Kind you can buy and mix at home from Martha White. I almost got turnip greens but the waitress strongly suggested otherwise. The food was inexpensive which was a plus but I don’t see a reason to go back.
Stopped in on a trip and they are open for dinner. Very good service and reasonable prices.
The food is so good that I ate enough for four people. Great service from a fun and friendly staff.
Since the change to folks its great. My friends and I always ask for our same waitress she is great she is very petite but always has a smile on her face. She hasn’t been there long but with the great service she provides is what makes us keep coming back.
It’s About Time. I finally found a place where the fried chicken has the same flavor as what I grew up on. I’ve been searching high and low for that down home taste and here it is in McDonough. Oh and don’t let me forget about the peach muffin…. delish!! It was wonderful with my morning cup of coffee… I will be back again.
