Fantastic!. We had our son’s rehearsal dinner at Olive Tree and I can’t begin to say enough nice things about the place. Chip and Teresa were so easy to work with, and the food was fantastic! Everyone loved it and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this restaurant, for a private party or just for a really good meal!

Olive Tree: Hiram. Today my wife and decided to try the Olive Tree in Hiram, GA. My wife said many of her family members really enjoyed the place. Having lived in Greece for many years I am very scepitical about trying different Greek restaurants in the US. I ordered out because we really didnt want to get ready. Upon pulling up it is really a cute little restaurant. It appears they are going for more of an Italian theme but still nice. They also have a little outdoor patio in the middle of a back alley that really sets the mood. If you are looking for a nice place close to home that can be romantic, I recommend this place. Now to the food. I have been searching for the perfect gyro in America for years now. Sad to say but I’m still searching. Their lamb/beef combo was good in flavor but very dry. Still edible though! The part that really hurt my feelings was their Tzatziki sauce. This sauce really makes all the difference! Theirs was a total disappointment. It was not even close to being Tzatziki! It tasted like it had mayonnaise in it, which is a huge no no. Call it your special sauce if you know it’s not the same. But overall the meal was GOOD. I just have high standards I guess. One thing I wished I had ordered but forgot to was Baklava. It’s probably best I didn’t because I can assume it is store bought and lacks in the awesome flavor it is supposed to have. The prices were a little high compared to some of the other Greek/Italian in the Atlanta area. But we were paying for the price of convenience so I can overlook that. However, if my wife and I were getting ready to have a great meal at a decent price The Olive Tree would not be our first or second choice. I would rather drive an extra 30 minutes for a great meal. I would never say don’t eat here because other people really enjoy it. This could be your little hometown gem. It’s sad because it will not be mine.

Mediocre at best. To say this is a Greek and Italian restaurant is an insult to Italy and Greece. I had the misfortunate of dining at the olive tree, not once but twice, and both times were a disappointment. Recently we ordered the chicken parmesan and greek sampler plate. The tomato sauce, if you call it that, served with the chicken tasted as if someone opened a jar of store bought chunky sauce and reduced it, pouring it over cooked pasta and deep fried chicken breast. The greek sampler plate was not much better. The gyro meat was edible, but that was about all. The spinach pie was dripping with grease; the Greek potatoes were nothing more than potato chips. You should know you are in trouble when the menu does not even spell tzatziki correctly. Do yourself a favor, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Best Potatoes in the State. Most of the food here is above average, but the Greek Potatoes, which are really homemade potato chips fried up with onions are TO DIE FOR. You simply must try them if you are a fan of the fried potato. Worth a drive from ATL.
