Excellent Food!!. I went to Shane’s Rib Shack in Kathleen on a whim. Just thought I’d give it a try and glad I did. I loved the food. Customer service was friendly. You get great proportions for the money. The ribs, wings, fries, salad were all good with a variety of sauces. I will be a regular customer. Enjoy!

Weird that the ribs are the worst thing on menu, they do not use baby backs but fatty beef for ribs. Everything else is fine but stay away from ribs.
Disappointment. Went into the store today. It was extremely smoky, and HOT. I looked at the thermometer on the wall and it was reading 80 degrees. To make it even better my order was wrong when it was brought out which means I had to wait even longer. When we got home we had to change our clothes because they were so smoky smelling it made our eyes hurt. I’m usually a BIG Shane’s advocate even driving all the way across town to eat there for lunch during the week, picking up meals on my way home from work, meeting friends there. This has been my go to place since you opened, but my last few experiences have been less that appealing. I’m going to have to take some time off from coming in until you they get back on their game. Very disappointing.
Let me say first that I love barbeque and eat it often. I also tend to avoid chain bbq restaurants. Shane’s is an exception. I had the half chicken w/ mac-n-cheese and baked beans. the chicken was well seasoned, juicy and tender.. the beans were good as well. the mac-n-cheese left a lot to be desired and should be avoided if you expect mac-n-cheese to have flavor. over all, a good lunchtime. total cost of meal with soda: $11.48
Good food, Good value. Shane’s is right down the street from me and since it has opened it has become my goto place for those nights when I had no dinner plans, was too busy to make dinner or if I’m just in the mood for BBQ.The portion sizes are good and the sides are great. I’m picky about BBQ and while the meats are all cooked right, I think the sauce is just ok. My wife is from the Carolinas and likes the sauce while I prefer a St Louis style sauce. As I said before the sides are great. You cant go wrong with the Cole Slaw, Fried Okra, Mac & Cheese and the potato salad.The atmosphere is good and the staff is very friendly and competent.Bottom line, I would recommend Shane’s to anyone.
