The Best in the Land. As far as traditional sushi goes this place is amazing. While they do have some excellent tempura options and many traditional Japanese dishes, the strength of their menu lies in the fact that their fish is simplay as good as I have had anywhere. The service is excellent and the establishment is family owned and operated. It is also worth noting that they have one sushi chef who works every night of the week. He is an old Japanese man and he is truly a master… and also has a strange affinity for the game of golf.
Great find on the corner of Medlock Bridge Rd. Sushi chief is a master at his craft. The rolls and sushi is always super fresh. Kitchen menu items are tasty. Wait staff is attentive and friendly.
Eating at Sushi Toshi17 Jan, 2011Love the food! Volcano is awesome!
This is a small place that is well worth the search. The prices are pretty but once you taste the food you will more than willing to give them your wallet.17 Jan, 2011Wow great food
Excellent place. It’s very cosy, has a wonderful family atmosphere. No bright blinding lights and wonderful food!
Consistently good!. I was surprised after my first visit to Sushi Cafe Toshi that it wasn’t even listed on here. Since then, I’ve been back more times than I can count, and every time, the sushi has been excellent. I haven’t expanded my taste in sushi much at all, so I can’t speak for that many rolls. The spicy yellowtail and tuna rolls are some of my favorites, I love that sriracha is used in them rather than some other spicy rolls I’ve had. Yumi’s roll, a tempura fried spicy tuna roll drizzled in another spicy sauce, is so good it should be illegal. The spicy chicken tempura roll (can you tell I like spicy sushi?) is an interesting concept and totally delicious. I love this place, and the service is always friendly. A definite favorite of mine, and also not well known at all, it’s a rare occasion when I’ve been there and at least 3 other parties are also.
