I try to write reviews that reflect a score based on what a restaurant is supposed to be…. So I often have different genre restaurants that end up with the same rank, even though one is low brow and another is four Michelin stars. Thus, you can take a one star rating for this place as compared to other chain Mexican joints. I LOVE authentic Mexican food…. they are few and far between in the Atlanta area, so I give a little grace knowing I’m not in El Paso. But, friends, this place is no bueno. The blandest, most unappetizing glop I’ve ever eaten…. Their tactic of starving you for an hour before they deliver it made me TRY to finish what I ordered, but ,alas, I could not. I am pretty sure this will be my last run at El Nopal…. And you’ve been warned.
