  Our fav Mexican restaurant. Jeremy the manager is awesome. Robbie our server was extremely attentive. Chips are always fresh, light and crispy. Awesome fall desert a pumpkin flan is not to be missed. See the photo, it was a work of art, perfect flavor!

• Big Eats

  Ate indoors, but have heard raves about the upstairs (outdoor) balcony bar. The wait was long, but it was a holiday weekend, so I wasn’t too put out. On the whole, the menu was unremarkable…. Not bad but not great. Our party of three tried a variety (seafood, pork, and chicken) and while I tried a bite of the pulled pork burrito and the chicken burrito supreme and found them competitive with other Mexican in the area, I was underwhelmed with my shrimp soft tacos. I suppose I was hoping for more as it is more convenient for my family, but it’s really moreof the same…..We will go back when we want something predictable, but instead ofbeing my new favorite place, it’s just another restaurant in the blur. No complaints about service, location, menu variety, decor, salsa, drinks, blah, blah, blah….. Just no jumping for joy….

  AWESOME. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Ok, so I’ll say our original family favorite Mexican place was always On The Border. I grew up eating there 1 to 3 times a week. Over the years they went bad service/food-wise, so we’ve been drifting between different places. Since Huey Luey’s Acworth opened, we have eaten there four times (all within the last month because we waited to see what reviews looked like) and we’re going again tonight. The atmosphere is pretty nice and everything is clean. Service is amazing there. Our favorite servers are Alexis and Ray. Both were very kind and talked to us about their histories with the company and anything we wanted to know about the food. They were also very quick to bring drink refills or anything else we needed. Food is fantasic! I loved the chicken fajitas (go get them on Mondays for the discount!), but was a little disappointed that adding cheese on the side costs extra as well as more tortillas (you get 3). I thought the chicken was seasoned/marinated nicely and I even ate the veggies, which I usually skip. I also enjoyed what I had on my combo meal. The chicken enchiladas were fantastic and I wish I had their chicken filling recipe. Beef burrito was tasty, but not as good as the chicken. I have also tried 4 of their desserts: flan, sopapillas, tres leches cake, and cajeta ice cream. The cajeta ice cream is a must have. It has vanilla ice cream with cajeta (caramel stuff), coconut, pecans, chocolate sauce, and some sopapillas on the side. Soooo good. The chips and salsa they bring to the table are really good. You can tell the salsa is fresh and sometimes it’s a little spicier, but that’s ok. Queso dip was great, but make sure you can eat a lot before ordering a large size. Lastly, the margaritas are very good, according to the others in my group and pricing is reasonable.My best suggestion is to join the text message club for coupons. First week I got a free queso dip with meal purchase and second week I got a BOGO combo coupon.
