Their definition of Creole food is burned food. The service was very slow, considering there were very few people there. It seemed like the people at the bar were receiving better service. I ended up spending more than $15 to eat 5 small shrimp.
I thought the risotto was amazing! It’s so hard to find some one who knows how to cook good risotto, and my fillet was perfectly cooked! Enjoyed it very much!
Not Cajun. We are from Louisiana and there isn’t a single Cajun dish on the menu. We have two children who know good food regardless of their young age. They were served chicken nuggets straight from prepared freezer food. Our main dishes were poor quality and small quantity for the price. We dined during the 6:00 hour and there no other guests of the restaurant. Apparently a sign of their success.
Don’t waste your money. The food was terrible and way over priced. The ladies from work went there for Christmas dinner. The menu was very limited. I ordered the shrimp bruschetta. It was service in a bowl the size of a dip bowl and only had 4 tiny pieces of shrimp with tomatoes and onions. It tasted like tomatoes and onions in hot water. No other flavor at all. It did come with bread that was burnt. I asked for some bread that was not burned and they brought me out more burnt bread. I also ordered a loaded baked potato. The potato seemed like it may have been left over from the night before and had a little cheese sprinkled on top with a pinch of bacon bits. I had tea for my drink. The total bill was 28.93. REALLY? I don’t mind spending money on good food but it believe me it was not worth 2.00. I will say the service was good but the food stinks! The restaurant is nice and clean. It has a nice bar. It might be a good place to go and have a few drinks but don’t waste you money on the food. They do have a website with their menu on it but don’t be fooled…..half the items on the menu online is not on even on the menu at the restaurant!12 Dec, 2014Horrible food!. I wanted so badly for this place to be good… But it wasn’t. I tried 3 times getting different things each time. It got worse and worse each time. The first and second times I had really shoddy service. I couldn’t get the waitress to pay attention and the food was very bland almost with no seasoning and burnt chips. The third time the food was terrible. The cheese sticks came out not even melted and the marina sauce was ICE cold. While I appreciated that they tried to sprinkle some parsley on top for presentation, I would have much rather had WARM FOOD. LaGrange is a small town and I wanted badly for this place to be good. The set up, location and atmosphere have so much potential, but cold food isn’t going to cut it here. I saw some of the good review perhaps I ordered the wrong things.PLEASE BLONDIE ROUX, add some flavor! And make sure the food isn’t straight from the fridge when it hits the table if it’s supposed to be hot!
Blondie Roux. Great atmosphere! Outstanding food…definitely recommend for small intimate dinner or large group! Service was attentive and the chef came to our table for our comments … Our filets were cooked perfectly and fork tender! will definitely return.
My husband and I went for the Endless Love event they had and everything was outstanding! The Steak Oscar is probably the best steak I’ve ever had in LaGrange. Service and atmosphere were just as great! You can tell these owners and employees take time to make sure the product is fresh whether it is a drink, dinner or dessert! I love that they add new items every few months, keeping things updated and different!
