Great place. I like grilled chicken and my husband like fried. So this is our compromise. The jimbobs sauce is really good and the hamburgers, wraps and wings are all good.
Jim Bob’s Columbus. When I first drove in barely any cars were there, they looked closed, and after tasting the food I know why.I noticed one of the employees bringing in food to eat from somewhere else, another red flag and hilarious.I wanted to try the catfish and the shrimp, but for some reason this new location doesn’t have shrimp, nor fried pickles. Is it really that difficult? They’re common items. So I ordered the catfish plate at a little less than $10.What you actually get are very thin strips of deep fried catfish with a cornmeal crust. Almost no taste other than a lot of salt, about 90% breading with very little fish. The fries that come with it are those cheap school cafeteria fries, overly salted. The slaw was bland and watery. The cornbread muffin is a throw-away, tasteless. When asked for extra condiments the server argued with me like it was coming out of her pocket, absurd.Do yourself a favor and skip this place. If they’re still open next year they’ll be lucky.
Love the food and love the atmosphere. Friendly, courteous service with a family atmosphere. Love the chicken and hamburgers.
I’ve worked in a restaurant before so I tend to call things by what we call things, and I’ve ordered wings there multiple times. The last two times I did, I called their sauce Honey BBQ when it’s just BBQ, and both times they gave me honey mustard, not what I want on wings. Maybe they should communicate more or actually talk back to their guests? And I also don’t enjoy the atmosphere of dining in. Taken out is awesome.
Good Wings. The place is awkward to eat in so I would get it go to. But the wings are pretty fantastic.
Chicken is way over priced. Small environment to eat in also.
