Good BBQ – Awful Customer Service. BBQ… I love it, so I visited with my coworker for a late lunch. We arrived around 1:30pm, ordered and ate. BBQ is good, then before we had finished our lunch, a guy sticks his head out from behind the counter and holds up two fingers. My coworker has her back to him so she can’t see this…I am puzzled, so I look behind me, nothing. Then with a pained face he shakes his two finger at me again, and he says we close at 2:00! I was shocked. It was 1:57 by my watch, and even if it were 2:00, I would not have expected to be run out of a restaurant. My coworker got a togo box and we were off, never to return. The BBQ is good, not great. And I do not plan to go where I am not wanted, worse yet, I think this may be the owner. Terrible experience.
I went with my daughter and we got the 2 meat meals. Lots of food. Rib meat just came off the bone clean and was delicious. Pulled pork was good too. The fries looked and tasted homemade. The Mac and cheese was okay. Cole slaw was good. Service was great. Very friendly atmosphere. It was our first visit. We will definitely be going there again.
Great Place. BBQ is great; atmosphere & service is friendly; prices are reasonable. Great place for lunch.
Food was good all in all. My wife’s salad could have used a little more chicken though. Also, cash or local check only (ATM available inside). I grew up in a small town and this definitely captures the small town BBQ joint feel, very welcoming!
Great BBQ. Hours aren’t normal, so check before going.
Good Local BBQ. Great menu. Only drawback is food near closing time is not up to their usual standard.
Good barbeque but not as good as Vandy’s in the boro.
