Obsessed with the Smokin Pig is an understatement. Who would have guested that a BBQ joint in Georgia has the BEST banging shrimp…ever. We literally time out our drives to Georgia based on meal time. Their salad bar is also the best…and it comes with every meal! The home cooked sides are ALL amazing. The sweet potato waffle fries, creamed corn and Brunswick stew are my favorites! Oh….and the ribs are also awesome!

After seeing the great 4.9 rating and reading good reviews, I had high hopes for some good bbq. Sadly, the food was just ok. Maybe I’m spoiled to good bbq after having Southern Soul bbq at St Simons and quite a few good options close to home. The salad bar was nice. The pasta salad was really good. The sweet potato casserole was odd. Not very good. I will give it another shot next time I’m in town and try some different sides.

I always get the salad bar when I order my plate of meats. Today was a simple burger which was juicy and flavorful, the salad bar as always was fresh for lunch, I especially enjoyed the peach cobbler for dessert.

We Dig this PigApparently there are a few of these restaurants around south Georgia. And the Valdosta version is a bit corporate looking. But everything works well and is quite efficient. The meals come with a very nice salad bar and two sides and dessert. We had some very good Brunswick stew and good fried okra. I didnt really care for their collard greens. The pulled chicken was good and the baby back ribs were very good. Dessert was some overly-sweet peach cobbler with a nice crust and topped with soft-serve ice cream. The value is excellent considering all thats included. I really prefer the style of those little hole-in-the-wall barbecue joints. But you cant complain about the overall quality and satisfaction level of the Smokn Pig.

Absolutely delicious Carolina pulled pork sandwich with creamy coleslaw, soft bun, juicy pork and a variety of yummy bbq sauces. Salad bar had a huge variety of fresh veggies and sweet potato souffl was good.

Good place to eat, but not as good as it used to be. Mass produced BBQ. Its ok, nothing that special. It seems as its grown the quality has gone down. Meat can sometimes be dry, not that flavorful. The Sauces do help

Ordered pulled pork sandwich coleslaw and green beans. Sandwich was awesome, freshest bun I’ve had at any BBQ joint. Liked original sauce best, I could just drink it, it was so good. Green beans were hot when they came out and very well seasoned, loved em. Got coleslaw to put on my sandwich, yeah that’s how I roll. Great on sandwich, not my fav by itself, not bad just unremarkable coPared to BBQ. Oh and I went about 1:30 in Saturday afternoon, service was lightning fast and friendly Kayla, my server clearly knows what Southern hospitality is all about! Great time highly recommend
