Visited this restaurant for the first time off a recommendation. The restaurant is situated in a non-descript shopping center. The curb appeal isn’t the best. We went around early lunch time, and were pleasantly surprised. They have a lot of options for meals that are already prepared and just waiting to be served. With a lunch price tag of $6.99 for authentic Dominican food, it’s a steal. All of the food was hot and fresh. We ordered Churrasco and Mangu. Churrasco is thin cut steak, sauted with onions and peppers. It is also served with rice and beans. Mangu is mashed plantains with fried Dominican Salami, fried egg, and fried white cheese, topped with sauted onions. All of the food came out extremely fresh and hot. The steak for the Churrasco wasn’t the best quality, but it was decent. The beans and rice were perfect. The Mangu was delicious as well. The mashed plantains were smooth and creamy. The fried cheese was crispy and gooey. The egg was crisp on the outside, but we would have preferred the yolk to be a little runny. But overall, it was a good experience. Classic Dominican music played throughout the restaurant, and it makes you really feel a part of another culture. Will return.
