So I met my wife and a friend here for lunch today….. What a disappointment. I went in to get a table while my wife walked around the square with her friend. I requested a booth and they were all full, no big deal and I waited for a bit. A booth became open, then another and another. A family was there before I was and was seated first as they should have been but then the waitress took their drink order and disappeared to the back. It was another 15 to 20 minutes before we were seated, still not a deal killer. We finally sat down and placed our order. I assumed they were shorthanded and that’s why everything was moving slow. So, we are waiting for our food and 10 minutes passed then 20 and 30 and 40! I had other thing to do so I got up, found my waitress and asked her to make my order to go. That apparently sparked the waitress to check on our order. She returns to my table and announces that she never put in our order and they had not started cooking our food!!!! I told the girl to take my order off the bill and I left. I have visited KirbyG’s on a regular basis from the day they opened but I will not return. I traded my hard-earned money for quality products and service and I will not allow an establishment to waste my time and I certainly will not hand over another dime to this place.
We’ve eaten here for lunch and dinner a few times now. Good burgers, and decent kid menu. Good beer selection when they have stock. We haven’t tried the soda floats or deserts so I can’t comment on those. The fried pickles are what locals talk about but I don’t like them in spears. I would tear into them if available in chips. In all – Friendly service and lots of regulars. Not the best burgers I’ve ever had (that was unexpectedly in Providence, RI) but darn good.
Great burger. Go listen to Bill Turpin in the Back Seat. Great evening
Burger is ok,Grindhouse is much better…. But the horrible I-75 Traffic (for the next 5 years) and hard to find parking on the McD SQ means I’ll just drive on up to Grindhouse!
Amazing burgers! I actually think that the burgers here are of better quality than those at the vortex in Atlanta. Not what you would expect from my tiny place a good distance from Atlanta. Have been several times and will continue to go. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is at the restaurant is very outdated. That’s to be expected though from a hundred year old building and a restaurant going for a 50’s theme. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town. Get the James Dean with blue cheese! YUM!
What a PLACE!. This restaurant was one of the worst places that I have ever eaten at; the service was terrible, the food was a bucket of grease and then after all they wanted to force you to tip when we’re upset at the service and food and they called the police to make a point.
Ok burger, way overpriced. The 1/4 burger had an ok flavor. A frozen bubba burger actually tastes better. The burger was tiny, came out on a tiny slider bun. The chips were overcooked. They even had to slice a tomato slice in half to fit the bun. 8 bucks for a krystal burger and a few overcooked chips is not worth it at all. Service was really good but the food is way overpriced for the money.
