My husband and I love Los Avina! We wish we saw more people there because it’s the best Mexican in McDonough. The chips and salsa are great and portions generous. We split the fajita nachos and it’s still too much food. You won’t be disappointed in this restaurant!
I don’t normally leave reviews on restaurants unless something really good or really bad happens. This place was just the kind of mexican restaurant we were searching for after recently moving back to the area; we’re just not a fan of most chains and would rather support good, local restaurants — well, service was AMAZING and everyone super friendly; it seemed that there were tons of regulars that knew the staff, and they seemed eager to remember us as well. Food was yummy and hot — we got chicken fajitas and a steak burrito that had cheese sauce on it (forget the name) both were great, I feel it is important to note that the steak was cooked perfectly (had some sear on it, yum) since I’ve had too many experiences with rubbery steak in burritos. Oh, and the salsa is DELICIOUS! I very much look forward to going back!
Looking for something different?. Stop in and get to know Angel, Miguel and his family! The menu includes dishes that he grew up with back in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Authentic! Hungry? Try the El Paisano. The Burrito Typico is incredible. You wont find them anywhere else. Unlike other restaurants, each dish just about has its own special sauce and flavors. Get away from the interstate and give it a try.
Best Flan in the nation.
