Global Mall Is 100% Occupied By Asians, Don’t expect luxury in any restaurant. Typical Indian service and atmosphere. If you ask for waiter he will come on his own willingness. But food overall good. Not at all its negative but far better.
The buffet food was barely warm. Some of it tasted like leftovers. The waiters were pre-occupied. It took forever to get a knife. The tablecloth was dirty.
Not so bad
Worst Indian food EVER. If you feel the urge to eat PET food, ashiana has you covered.
Good food. I think that the food has gotten worse since I started going there. They have scaled back on the selection which was not a good sign.
One of the better Indian buffets I have found. I enjoy good India cuisine and after reading a positive review about Ashiana in the AJC I sought out this restaurant’s lunch buffet. The restaurant is hidden in the run down Global Mall next to Hwy 85 and Jimmy Carter. Outside the mall you will find dying landscape which is highlighted by trash strewn along the walkway and in the shrubs. The parking area is in disrepair. NOT GOOD. A nice touch was the friendly man from the restaurant at the mall entrance. He was greeting people and passing out a promotion for Ashiana. Inside, the restaurant was clean and got a ‘restaurant inspection’ score of 90 (08/15/2007) from the county – gwinnetthealth.comThe buffet, though paltry in compared to amount of food you get at the ‘Palace Indian Restaurant’s’ buffet (Peachtree Corners) was very flavorful and done right. The dishes of chicken & lamb were great (though the Tandoori Chicken was a bit dry). There was only one rice dish and NO desserts. Very disappointing was the spiced Indian Tea (Chai) – avoid. The service was attentive and the price of the buffet was good $8.95. Overall for the quality, not quantity, and the price, this was a good choice for a quick lunch. 3.5 Stars.
