This place has changed owners at least once in the many years I’ve sampled its family-style Italian fare, but in all that time the food has remained for the most part consistent. This is a local restaurant with a great Sicilian flavor, plenty of garlic and robust red sauces full of meaty red tomatoes, oregano and basil. The atmosphere would best be described as New York Bistro – exposed brick in a converted warehouse, with photos on the walls and pressed tin ceiling. During the weekend the noise level is a bit much so I’d recommend a weekday dinner. The beer and wine bar runs along the left side where you can enjoy a glass while you wait – there is often a wait unless you go early. For dinner I’ve really enjoyed the calamari fritti as an appetizer, chicken parmegiana, the classic spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, chicken picatta, Shrimp Scarpiello, and stuffed pork chop. I also like the lasagna, however it does have a nutmeg-y flavor that some may not care for (there’s also a bit of anise in the Italian Sausage that’s fairly pronounced). With your entrees, make sure to get the whole loaf of garlic bread – thin sliced raw garlic, sauteed in olive oil and poured over the loaf – like heaven on a plate! The Caesar salad is often over-dressed but otherwise palatable.Service has been a little inconsistent – most of the time very good and at other times mediocre. It may make a difference depending on when you go – most of the times everyone has been very friendly and I don’t remember a time when I didn’t feel welcome. It’s funny how an unfilled water glass can turn you a bit sour on a dining experience, but that has happened to me here. The prices are very reasonable, but parking can be a bit rough during lunch or on the weekends – there’s a lot across the street if you can’t get a space right in front. In all this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants, and close enough that I don’t mind the drive (at least I don’t have to suffer Midtown or Buckhead traffic – ugh). Downtown Norcross is actually sort of interesting – go early and you can walk around a bit – it’s not large and you may find something interesting to peruse. When the restaurant is busy I’ll often put my name in and walk around for a few minutes – another reason to go early. I’d eat here more often but can’t afford the impact on my waistline – you end up with a full belly and lots of left-overs! independentrestaurantreview.com

Over salted over priced Italian-ish fare. Once was good but not at present. Went with a group yesterday and none agreed that we would be back.

Dominic’s in Norcross has gone downhill. Service was horrible. The food server brought food for my group of six, and I was asked what I ordered. She said the kitchen did not have the order. Everyone else ate while I sat. The waitress never apologized or came over to explain anything. I told the waitress when she brought the check that my meal was late and I was taking most of it home, so would there be an adjustment? She told $4.99 off a $24.00 entree. Still no apology. This restaurant is not what it used to be. I will go to the other good Italian restaurants in Atlanta rather than dine here again.

I live in Newnan. Far away from Dominic’s….well worth the drive. Excellent food and service.

Simply a MUST HAVE. Had an amazing dinner tonight. The Eggplant parmesan was delightful, the sauce at this restaurant is a must have if you are within 50 miles. We had family in from the outer banks of NC and decided that we wanted to take them to a place where the food was great every time. Tonight everything was as expected, amazing. 5 Star service, 5 Star food, just the best food in the Metro Atlanta area. As I said a Must have if you are within 50 miles of Norcross GA.
