We were looking for a place that opened at 11 before we went to Georgia Aquarium. This restaurant was close by and rated high. Even though it was advertised as seafood my wife and me both got the chopped salad. It was fresh and more than both could eat. It had avocado which appeared to have been dipped in lime juice and salt which added to flavor profile. The salad included applewood smoked bacon , egg and we ordered the grilled chicken tenderloin to go with it. It came with a creamy balsamic dressing that fit the salad perfectly. We tried the seafood gumbo which was ok- we are from Florida and we have a favorite place we eat gumbo and reference everything to it. My daughter had a grilled skewer with scallop, shrimp, and salmon, halibut and vegetables. It was cooked perfectly too. We were quite impressed. Reasonably priced as well.

You absolutely can’t miss at Papadeaux’s no matter how long the wait. We went to the Fat Tuesday celebration, had an hour wait, but plenty of outdoor seating & a live band was new & pleasing. Our waiter was great, we started with the spinach & lump crabmeat dip, moved onto to the seared wild Atlantic salmon & took the Mardi gras king cake for later. Everything was the right temperature, very good taste, & more than enough, the salmon included grilled shrimp & scallop with lump crabmeat on top of sauted spinach…..delicious! Excellent location, always a bustling crowd, New Orleans style decor…my favorite seafood restaurant in Atlanta. Price is commensurate with the total experience. Don’t hesitate….went to the Norcross location.Went recently went for my birthday, Pappadeaux never fails to deliver! Our waiter, Warren was very knowledgeable about our appetizer & entrees that we were trying for the first time, very professional, & the gentleman that delivered our food to the table was also very professional & personable! Those guys made my day & my heart sing! We tried the crab, lobster & pork egg rolls & the shrimp & grits. Their cheese grits are out of this world, so creamy with andouille & creamed spinach. The egg rolls are wrapped in a piece of lettuce, with coleslaw added on top. We topped it off with bread pudding.
