Excellent dinner. The coconut soup was out of this world. My wife had garlic and black pepper chicken and I had the basil chicken. Both were dishes were simply delicious.
The phrase hidden in plain sight might well apply to Taste of Thai. Just off busy Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, where it seems like traffic never subsides regardless of the time of day, a worn out and partially empty strip mall is home to Taste of Thai. The sheer fact they have outlasted all of the other tenants is a testament to this surviving gem of when Norcross was Atlantas high-tech epicenter.Taste of Thai draws a pretty good crowd, even for the late lunch that I was to enjoy with a co-worker. Something exotic as thai food is rare for me and I was looking forward to it. The menu seemed pretty straightforward but I leaned on the advice of my friend for wise counsel. We got started with some Spring Rolls and Crabmeat Cheeserolls. Getting off on the right foot, Taste of Thai serves food HOT! Those of you who read our blog regularly know how this is a pet peeve of mine and I like my food hot when served. The spring rolls were light and flaky. The crabmeat cheeserolls had a very subtle crabmeat flavor but the cream cheese was dominant. My friend ordered the Green Curry with shrimp and I ordered the Red Curry with shrimp. These dishes come with bamboo shoots, green beans, jalapeo peppers, zucchini and carrots. Its served with steamed rice that is still steaming when delivered to your table.Make no mistake this dish is HOT in more ways than one! Personally I love spicy food but this was getting close to being out of my comfort zone and that made me like it even more. The curry sauce is spicy, rich and full of flavors that you find yourself eating more just because it tastes so good.If you like Thai food or youre just feeling adventurous, I think youll end up having a pretty good time at Taste of Thai. The food is spot-on, the service was dynamite and we had a great experience there. Guten appetit! atlanta-food-critic.com

They make their homemade coconut ice cream in house, amazing!
The best Thai food in metro ATL. I have been looking for five years for a restaurant that compares to my favorite Thai restaurant in Omaha, NE. The food here is fresh, with a colorful palate, and will leave you planning your next visit. Wonderful, friendly staff, a clean and inviting environment, and the Tom Kha is to die for. Why are you still sitting here reading this? GO GET SOME! YUMMY! (My husband said his only complaint was that he only had napkin.)
