Fast becoming a favorite stop in Norcross. I must agree that one of the negative reviews is a bit mistaken. Shepard’s Pie, Bangers & Mash, Irish Stew, steak & ale pie & s&v crisps are all on the menu.. As well as some american pub fair and a few other interesting additions. The beer selection is a nice mix of imports (Harp, Smithwicks, Bass etc.) and some locals like sweet water. One of my favorite appetizers is the Irish Spring Roll. Basically this is the love child of a Reuben & an egg roll! A wonderful idea and a perfect pairing with a cold pint. I haven’t thoroughly explored the menu but as I do I will update with my findings. Oh and awfully friendly folks!

I really enjoy the Iron Horse. Not because the food is amazing, though the Tortiza’a are lights out and by far the best thing on the menu. Not because of the beer selection, because it only slightly above average. I enjoy myself here so much because I love the place’s atmosphere, location, and crowd. The crowd has never been too big or ridiculously slow. The place is great for a Friday night, or a Saturday late lunch on the patio. Come here with friends, to have a few beers and dinner. Don’t come here looking for a 5 star meal.

Learn to read the restaurant menu, people.. Pretty strange so many of these reviews. They tell people that items I can easily find on the menu aren’t there.Guys, can you read? You sure? This is a pretty solid place, with a smattering of English ietms and plenty of American ones. Why not 100% English? Ask Hue, president of the Dunwoody Restaurant group sometime. I have. The answer was simple: he would if he could sell them.

A nominal place for food and a beer. I went to the Iron Horse on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty slow when I walked in around 7:30pm. The staff seemed pleasant, the beer was cold, and the food was hot and delivered quickly. When I was finishing up around 9pm the place seemed to get a little busier. I didn’t stay to see how things went. I think the Iron Horse is a nice place with a decent atmosphere. I’d like to come back again on a busier night to see how active it is. No red flags from my visit except that it was a bit slow.
