It’s hot outside. I’m hungry. My brother takes me to a little blue house called The Market. It’s AWESOME! As you enter you know these people pay the electric bill on time because it’s very cool, the perfect place to cool off from the Georgia sun and humidity. The daily specials are delicious and worth the try. I really want to come back and try the rest of the menu. One stop here is not enough. The servers seemed like family and checked in on us regularly. We did sit outside and it was lovely. FYI- there is road work right across the street from The Market, but don’t let this deter you from coming to this Valhalla of food! Road work is temporary but good food is forever!
This place is where it’s at when it comes to your taste buds. The food is phenomenal and everything is homemade. The smoked turkey Naan-Wich is what I had and it’s my go to meal. This is in a great area as well. The only downfall is it’s open for lunch 11-3. There is construction currently but it should not deter you from coming here. A+ in my book.
Lovely little boutique restaraunt. I expected a lot when i went to visit this place. It had such good reviews! I find this little gem in a small historic part of norcross, right behind buford highway. As soon as I enter, I notice how cute and home-y it feels inside. I order around 4-5 dishes, the chicken salad sandwich being the most memorable. TO DIE FOR. It is seriously the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever tried. Also, their Mac and Cheese is SO YUMMY! do do do get the mashed potatoes too as they are delicious! I love this place. I have only been here once but man, that left quite the first impression on me. I will SO go back here. I tried to try the macaroons here as I read they were fabulous, but unfortunately they were all sold out! Definitely going back soon to satisfy my macaroon craze 🙂
Great Vegetarian Sides. I ate lunch here with my companion. We both eat mainly vege food, and wanted to try many items from their long list of sides, all of which I believe are vege. I had shitake stir fry, chipotle cheese grits, and eggplant rotini. She had half a portabello stack, balsamic asparagus and zucchini fritter. The stir fry was notable for having strips of cabbage instead of noodles, and the rotini was a nice adaptation of a pasta dish, with a ricotta filling rolled in an eggplant slice. The grits had a nice bite from the chipotle. The portabello stack has a filling of sun dried tomato and pesto, which I found delicious. I also had a fine fresh lemonade, nicely tart. We finished up with a selection from their numerous kinds of brownies, enjoying it all while seated on the homey front porch. I look forward to eating here again.
Fresh, delicious, friendly. The food is fresh and dished out in generous portions. The staff is friendly and helpful. My new favorite is the chicken salad. I am super picky about my chicken salad and I don’t normally like fruit in it. But theirs has just the right amount of grapes and apples to add flavor and texture while not making it sweet. I love that they put it on a croissant with mixed greens. Makes it a little fancy. Add some sweet tea and one of their gourmet sides and you’ve got a unique yet comforting meal. The teriyaki salmon is delicious, if you can get there in time. It goes fast! I recently tried the coleslaw and noodle salad. They make their coleslaw with a vidalia dressing in addition to mayo, which adds a great tang. You can also tell the cabbage is freshly sliced – no slaw mix from a bag here. The cold noodle salad was so yummy. Ramen noodles, sliced almonds, a light peanut dressing and fresh cabbage. I could have eaten that for my lunch and been happy. The atmosphere is relaxed. It has a small-town feel without being run-down or skimping on quality. It’s a great place to get away from the office for an hour and chill out!
Well prepared, delicious fresh meals. Each time I have a Bleu House Market meal, it leaves me wanting more. Thank goodness for their ‘dinners to go’ selections. If my husband or I are close to downtown Norcross we always stop in to stock up on freshly prepared meals so we don’t have to cook for a few days. Favorites are flank steak, balsamic chicken, roasted asparagus and parmesan shallot focaccia bread. We love the antipasto box and believe it’s the best deal in town! High quality cured meats, cheeses, roasted red-peppers, olives and more. Add some red wine and call it a day. Next time you’re in downtown Norcross for an event, call ahead to order a picnic for two. We did this for the recent Memorial Day concert in the park and were the envy of all our neighbors. I haven’t even mentioned their homemade desserts or organic produce to go. You need to check this out for yourself.
