My friend and I went for the first time on Valentine’s Day last week. Service was a little slow to start, but once it got rolling, everything was great. Since it was our first time, the waitress warned us off of the kitfo (which is raw). Instead, we had sambasa, the Sheba style beef tibs, and the yebeg (lamb) tibs with lentils. The sauce is great – it reminds me of tikka masala. It’s very hands on and definitely not for the prim eater, but everything was delicious and I’d definitely go back
Special Trip. We made a special detour to come to Atlanta to visit the Queen of Sheba, and we had a great time. We ordered the Vegetarian plate for two, and we were delighted at the variety of tastes and textures. I also like the hot spiced tea. Service was friendly, and our waitress made some good recommendations. We were surprised when the bill arrived; so much food, so reasonably priced. We will be sure to come back again.
Food was great!, however, service was fair secondary to one waitress serving the entire restaurant with over 25 customers!
Comfortable, relaxed decor. Authentic menu with many dishes to choose. We ate the dinner combo for five with an extra yemesirwot (split lentils in red pepper sauce). The food was not the spiciest I’ve eaten but for an American family with lots of young children that was probably about right. The service was a little slow for a weeknight crowd but then again, we weren’t in the most relaxed frame of mind. The cost was a little steep for a party of eight and the automatic 18% gratuity for a group of this size didn’t help matters much. Summary: can’t recommend due to high cost but might be worth it if you’ve got to have Ethiopian. But the food and ambiance shouldn’t be a factor in your decision.
Great for large parties!. I took my Meetup group here, and we loved it. Great service, and if you have six people, order the Ethiopian coffee. It comes with popcorn and incense, and it’s very nice together. We will go back again!
Yummy Ethiopian food. Love the style of eating too.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, live Jazz on Thursdays. Don’t miss this place!
