Great for Sunday Brunch. Nine of us went to Caf Lily today for Sunday Brunch. It was great. There was something on the menu for everyone, from French Toast, Frittatas, Lamb and eggs to the best Grilled Cheese sandwich. The service was excellent. We were not rushed and the waiter was on hand when we needed him. We had not been in a while, so it was nice to find that the food is consistently good. We will definitely be going back.

Great food, bad service. I just recently arrived back tonight from Cafe Lily, this would not be worth mentioning except for the fact that our party of 3 was there for over two hours. We arrived around 7 were greated warmly and seated. We ordered a drink each and then proceeded to order several tapas (probably around 5 or 6) my girlfriend and I also ordered meals. The first several rounds of tapas all came very quickly and were excellent. Best mussels I’ve had in a long time. After we finished the second round we waited 15 more minutes for our entree, it never arrived. Our waiter stopped coming to our table and people who had arrived after we had finished our tapas got their meals before us. After an hour and a half I went inside and tried to talk to the manager in order to get our food to go and our checks. They assured me this would be done promptly. I went back to my table and waited another 15 minutes before I talked to a DIFFERENT waiter asking for help, and only because the table next to us realized the problem. Another 20 minutes passed and our waiter came, with the wrong checks. We informed him of his mistake and he promised to immediately rectify the situation and bring our food as well. 20 minutes later he finally came back with a still incorrect check and our food. He made no offer to discount us for our ordeal or apologize for the terrible service. I don’t think I’ve ever had a worse customer experience in a restaurant. The food is excellent, but take it to go, lest being subjected to this same torment. But be careful, they charge you an extra fee for take out, as they tried to charge me at the end.

Great food..Great service..Great ambiance !. We love the caf.We used to eat there almost every Saturday night! We became regulars and guests saying we saw you here the last time we came here, do you eat here every Saturday night? The food is always great, and service–no better.Great ambiance..Nice and quiet.Great wine selection and suggestions. So great, last year…it was a select wine and I went on the internet and was able to get a case of it before it was all gone. They do have weekly specials, so get on their email list.I never like to say anything negative, I just wish sometimes they would change their menu. But maybe if they do something right, why change it.

I think it could be better. It seems like it could be an amazing restaurant but my sandwich was slightly burnt. Both the chicken and the bun was slightly burnt. I just think it was cooked too much. I hope to come back and have a better experience.

Pleasant Surprise in Decatur!. We gave this place a try after driving by a few times and looking at the website. So pleased that we did-this was a great neighborhood experience. We were greeted and seated immediately and our server, Michael, did a fantastic job of welcoming us for the first time and describing the menu. Try their specialty cocktails for a real treat. Our appetizer of Rum Cured Salmon was also a first for us…the most delicious slightly charred salmon with a variety of toppings including egg, capers, and onion. My partner had the stuffed filet and it tasted rich and full of flavor. I tried the pinchitos (also a first for me). The lamb was one of the most flavorful and tender I have ever had. We ended with a slice of coconut cream pie that was thick and reminded my of my grandmother making it. The manager came by with complimentary limoncello to thank us for visiting. This experience was also very reasonable (around $100 for dinner and drinks for two).

The food and the service were great. The food is a little overpriced but it tasted great and it was cooked to perfection. We had the filet and the lamb for entrees and we split the Lebanese meatballs (tapas) and Greek salad for appetizers. The salad was very small with no greens, only onions, olives, tomatoes, cucumber and cheese. I would again to try different tapas, instead of an entree.

What’s not to like?. Cafe Lily is one of those places that I never tire of. Their brunch is delectable and their dinner is even better. I always order the same things when I go, surely not because it’s the only good thing on the menu…but I’m just addicted to it: Charbroiled Salmon Steak with mango salsa and mashed potatoes for dinner, or for brunch the Frittata di Mare. Both oh so delicious, I just can’t say no!
