Good Cox Hall BBQ. D.B.A. Barbecue is probably the best option actually ‘on’ Emory’s campus. The brisket is very moist and tender and probably my favorite option thus far. The ribs are decent. Mac & cheese above average. The tangy sauce is good as well. Looking forward to trying to smoked chicken next visit.
A good option in Cox Hall. This is actually pretty good given that the ‘que is being smoked at the main location a couple miles a way and brought in here for service. The brisket has been consistently very good, with good bark and not overly dry. The pork, being pulled ahead of time, suffers a little from being dry but has a good amount of flavor. As you’d expect here, the sides are somewhat limited with my favorites so far being better than average collards and some incredibly smokey tasting baked beans. Take a pass on the stale white bread and pick between sweet or tangy (spicy) sauce, and this is a pretty good option of food on campus.
