Pricey and Overblown. No doubt, Dancing Goats serves good coffee in clean, comfortable surroundings, and has all the amenities you’d expect from a good coffee bar. But it’s well down my list of favorites. One would expect the coffee here to be good (the place is owned by Batdorf and Bronson), but it seems to be brewed there into a bit of bitter mud. The food is good, and who can argue with those Duck’s Donuts., but the prices for food and coffee are outrageous — I’m guessing the highest in town. In my experience, the service ranges from nonchalantly slow to vaguely snide. And the lack of electric outlets and shortage of seating (when the’re vast amounts of floorspace for more tables) seems to be management’s way of saying, move along now, would you?
Love Love LOVE everything about this place. Friendly, helpful, and competent staff. Great coffee and teas. Amazing selection. Perfect atmosphere. This place is a must visit!

Can I move in??. We live at the goats!! It’s a great place to take friends sit down and chat, or pop in the head phones and hunker down for some paper writing. Its very college atmosphere. The People who work there are friendly, and always make sure that you are satisfied with what you order. The coffee is stronger at the Goats in my opinion, than other coffee shops around town. The baristas are good at what they do and they always do those designs in the foam! Love it!!
Great coffee & artwork!. As owner of the Decatur Market & Gallery, it’s a great pleasure to introduce an installation of new works by artist Jill Bates at the Dancing Goats Coffee Bar. Coffee at DG is the best in metro Atlanta (and I’m picky!), and the atmosphere is terrific and friendly. Manager Lorrie keeps it all in constant motion.The excellent artwork on display by Jill Bates is pastel on sanded paper, framed perfectly. Prices are VERY affordable. If you see anything you like, just contact us at the Gallery: 404-377-0755. We’re right up the street at 153 Ponce de Leon Pl. Enjoy that hot cuppa this winter. I do!
Awesome!. Dancing goats can easily be the best coffee bar in town. Its great to take a walk over to dancing goats, order one of their amazing cups on joe, and top it off with amazing baked goods from ducks cosmic kitchen (an amazing bakery). It’s worth the wait, drive, or walk any morning for the ever changing and creative specials, or just straight up great coffee.
