Great if you like canned Italian….. Went here thinking it was going to be good from the rating. I was REALLY disappointed. It’s perfect for Emory kids that are sick of eating noodles from a bag, but if you are Italian, like Italian, or even want to be near Italian food, this is not the place. The lasagna, wasn’t any good, the meat had been almost pured’ and the alfrado tasted like it came from a can…… Each plate was $10, and you got a minimal serving, the lasagna was about 4 inches by 4 inches, and only about 3 layers, not filling what so ever. I would not recommend this to anyone, I have also spoken to several friends who told me the same…. not sure why it get such good reviews…. 🙁
Soooooo Good!. Whether you are looking for soup and salad (both very fresh) or a great pasta selection ( my favorite is the pesto with chicken on buckwheat noodles), you are in luck at Saba’s. It really is the perfect neighborhood casual restaurant. Stop in before or after a great walk in the beautiful neighborhood of Druid Hills. Have a glass of wine and visit with friends inside or outside – it is comfortable and very friendly place to spend time. Not expensive for the quality of the food.
Great food, reasonably priced.. I’ve eaten at Saba many times and have found that the food is great, Both the bolognese and meatballs are delicious. I’m not a pesto fan, but friends that are love it here. I also think it is reasonably priced. Of course, raviolis aren’t huge portions; they aren’t supposed to be. Go for something with longer noodles if you are really hungry. They have generous side salads if you are budget conscious and hungry.
