Service was prompt, efficient, and food was hot. Got there early and the place quickly filled up, especially since there is limited seating!
I truly enjoyed this place. Even though most in my group prefer later brunch, I don’t. But given a crowded Sunday AM I think Sweet Melissa’s did a damn good job. Except for the hostess’s Auburn T-shirt. Really?
Came at 11 am on Saturday in the thick of the brunch traffic. Couldn’t believe my good luck to find a table toward the back. I settled in thinking there would be a wait, but within 2 minutes was served coffee, within 5 minutes my order was taken and maybe 8 minutes later it arrived. The omelette proved to be a good choice paired with cheese grits and a walnut pancake. All was cooked and warm and just enough to make my morning. A great little diner!
Sooooo disappointed. Eggs were cold. I asked if they were made to order . I was told yes. Then I saw the cook scooping the eggs out of a vat. Really gross. Can’t believe they have a94% on here.
Love this place!. I’ve been eating here once or twice a month for the past 10 years. Great staff and wonderful food. The live music on Sundays is a great way to wind down the weekend with friends and their excellent coffee!
Disappointed. This place used to be so good. this is now the third time in 6 months that we had cold food, bad service and an expensive, disappointing meal. it used to be so great but it seems like they may be losing sight on what made them awesome in the first place. $70 for eggs and grits that I could have made at home is a bit much; especially when the pancakes were forgotten and all of the food was cold. After three different tries we will not be going back.
You can brown bag. In case you want a bloody, a beer or cocktail. Nice folks. Nice menu. Nice taste.
