Along with The Porter in Little 5 Points (which is similar in menu), this is my favorite place in Atlanta for unhealthy beer food. The menu is inspired and masculine, with a multitude of bar & grille versions of Southern staples. They brew their own beers too, which are excellent and change seasonally. I love the appetizer menu so much, I rarely venture to the entrees. I especially recommend the black-eyed pea hummus, beef or pastrami jerky, mac and cheese fritters (with bacon jam!), and beer queso dip. When you’re finished, work off the calories with some shuffleboard, billiards, or darts.

Took my family there for lunch today. Great service, very attentive but not hovering. My burger was cooked right at medium rare and very juicy. Wife and daughter both proclaimed the Caesar salad quite tasty. Wife also had the black eyed pea hummus and enjoyed it. Our son had the sweet garlic wings and ate every one. Veggie chili disappointed our daughter, but she’s not a chili expert. Overall a great experience. Only downside is they don’t take American Express, which will keep me from taking clients there for business meetings.

Loved it!. Stopped by just to have a beer. They had a great seasonal selection and the service was fast and courteous! We didn’t done here but everything I saw looked delicious! I had the Barleywine. Omg it was amazing. So I had another! My man had the ginger beer and it was also amazing! The outside patio was beautiful and very shady on a hot humid summer afternoon!I can’t wait to come back! And will!

Awesome!. I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I’ve never had any bad experiences. lately, i feel as though every time i come, it gets better. Their menu is seasonal and fresh, the beers on tap are changing, and the new cocktail menu is pretty sweet. I highly recommend this place for hanging out with your buds, especially on the patio if the weather permits!

Beer is subpar. We went to Twain’s to try their house-brewed beer to avoid the huge crowd at the Brickstore. We should have waited until the crowd thinned out there. Twains’ beer… it’s just missing something. Watery, no aroma, weak flavors. We got a flight that allowed us to try all seven of their beers, and all seven were just… off. Positives: our server was VERY good, it’s a cool sports bar atmosphere and it wasn’t too crowded. We did not try the food, so it may be good. Seems like a great place to go to watch a game or play pool. Just don’t go solely for their beer!

Straight out horrible service. Began to write a long, involved description of our experience. Too bitter. It’s a neighborhood place, with pretty good food. Had a bad service experience. Dining-mates complained to server about service, and kinda went crazy when server said ‘whatever’. I am still pretty pissed. As a review: good food, good drink menu. Bad service. Well, who knows. You might have a good experience. Traveler: this is an okay place to go. On the karma side, I’d ask that you not go here. I won’t. Places that treat their customers badly get the thumbs down from me.

A great option for great fresh delicious food and equally fresh and well crafted beer – a more laid back ormsby’s type alternative if you like the corner pub, Leon’s or the Brick Store!
