Always good atmosphere and food. We usually go to Mazzy’s at least once a week. We enjoy the great food and the reasonable price! I don’t think we have had anything that wasn’t good. The hamburgers are big and the fish is always tasty and cooked well. You can always find a football or basketball game to watch! They have one night when they do trivia (think it is Wednesdays) and there is lots of folks who play and enjoy it there for that. Glad they are in the Norcross area – we love it!
Didn’t score enough points to win me over. If you go to Mazzy’s to watch a game you’ll find plenty of televisions and you’ll never have to ask that the sound be turned up unless there is a patron whose incessant chatter is louder than the house PA system.Right off the bat, one thing any restaurant can do that is inexpensive and will improve the dining experience is to filter their tap water. You can kill the sulfur and chlorine taste by squeezing a lemon into your glass but their will always be a hint of unappealing flavor with every gulp.Service is friendly and attentive but a bit on the slow side. This usually isn’t a problem as most who dine there will be seated for at least 90 minutes to three hours.I have to report that the food for the most part is typical sports bar food and nothing special. Their onion rings were standard fare and nothing as unique as Mazzy’s menu boasts. Much more disappointing were the fried mushrooms which the menu claims are fresh but were miniscule and watery. The rule with mushrooms is, dry ’em, then fry ’em. There was more batter than mushroom and definitely not worth the price. As an entre, the first couple of bites of the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich started off well but most of the rest was fibrous and stringy. The burger bun was prefab, the cheap, commercial kind with not a hint of hearty, quality bread texture. My gal enjoyed her dish of pasta with shrimp which was flavorful but the it was only on par with an Applebee’s or Chili’s.The prices are moderate but overall value was poor.A good place to watch a game and order a pitcher of beer but just one loud, drunk, piece of riffraff can ruin even that uncomplicated experience. No matter which teams are playing or how critical the game is, I see no reason to return to Mazzy’s
I love this place and everything about it. People are super friendly and the food is great. If you are going into this restaurant and expecting a fine dining experience then you are in the wrong spot. This is great bar food and it has something for everyone.
Outstanding food and service at a reasonable price. You won’t be dissapointed
Meh….. I had the old-fashioned burger… and it was alight. Nothing that would make me got out of my way to go there. If I go again, I’ll try something different to see if it can persuade me to change my vote.
