I used to hit Palomilla’s quite a bit for lunch with a group from work. I usually order the grilled fish special (about $9 on the lunch page) – lightly seasoned filet (reminded me of blackened cajun with less spice) served with some chopped onion as garnish, white rice, black beans and four chunks of plantain (maduros style). I also sometimes would order the vaca frita (seems I can’t keep away from this dish) and the roast port.The food is always excellent with slightly adjusted spices for the typical American palate. The restaurant is very clean and the service is also excellent – as our group is usually made up of up to 10 people with separate checks, we still manage to get in and out in about an hour. I’m looking forward to sampling their other cuisine and plan to make it out again. The lunch menu featured less expensive prices and what may have been smaller portions – the average dinner plates were above $10, sandwiches less. independentrestaurantreview.com
Fake meat. Their croquetas tasted like store bought not fresh. Maraqitas (thin fried plantain chips) was too greasy. Their vaca frita was soft & chewy nothing how it should be fried & crispy. Their skirt steak (churrasco) seems they cut back with quality. Even their other location at johns creek has this problem too. Their Manager was nice & offered to replace it but, I was extremely displeased that it wouldn’t have mattered.
