Insulting Experience. My first time there. Needless to say there were no cars invthe parking lot. It was eary morning aftet Christmas. The place is nice but the service at this place clearly will be the down fall of the diner. And I will tell you why. Just luke any good business it starts at the top. I was clearly being cared for until my server had to leave to get her 10 year old. She was replaced by the manager/Owner daughter-in-law who never once come over to see if I needed anything. She is clearly outbof touch with running a service business. She came in complaining about the Christmas lights being off. and after saying by to my server she got on the phone and never even came to my table. In fact I had to ask the cook who was sitting down watching TV to get me a refill on water. The food was cold and somewhat raw on meat. pancake taste like rubber, bacon was to hard and grits watered down. I wont tell you not to visit but you take my experience and decide for yourselves. Sad that the investment of this nice place will go up in smoke because of the service. The fact that she being the only server in the place never came to my table to see if I needed water.
Try one of Atlanta’s many good diners instead. Stopped in last night following a movie at the nearby Studio Movie Grill. The irony was that we wanted to wait and get better food that we’d get at the movie. At 9:30, the place was relatively deserted -should have been a warning, but we were really in the mood for good diner food. I got the lackluster liver and onions, with really flavorless mashed potatoes and gelatinous gravy and limp, overcooked steamed vegetables. My wife got a spinach florentine omelet that was no better. Our teenagers, who had eaten at the movie and enjoyed it, got desserts which were passable.Having lived all over the country and experienced classic diners from New Jersey to California and enjoyed Atlanta’s own Buckhead, Duluth, Landmark, and Marietta Diners and others, this is not even close to good.
Great comfort food , try the dinner club fantastic
I used to live in New England home of some of the greatest and coolest historic diners. This was a pretty great diner. Definitely has the great diner feel, neon lights, jukebox, and all. The food was good too. We got a late breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, home fries, toast, and juice. Everything tasted good and the home fries were delicious. They’re kind of hard to come by. I was a bit surprised they didn’t have yogurt. The service was prompt and friendly. The prices weren’t what I expected but it was a diner more of the caliber of the other Greek owned diners around Atlanta. Still paid what was to be expected for the nice amount of food received. No complaints here. Would definitely go back and recommend.
Had a Reuben served on white bread, smallest Reuben I have ever had. Friend also got one, only ate a few bites. Didnt take a thing off our bill said manager wasn t there. Offered to replace or take care of us next time. There won t be a next time. Waste of money!!!!!
My first time going to Ga diner. Hubby and I was being adventurous. I had the Grecian Florentine omelet. It was terrible! The service was terrible and it was only 10:50am. It was so bad Hubby did not want to leave a tip. I convince him otherwise.
I had the pancakes and they were a little strange….not IHOP quality. Atmosphere was a little bizarre too. Staff was very friendly and it’s open all the time.
