I visited Sweet Rice one day after lunch due to a sweet craving and an accident blocked the entrance to Sweet Hut. I remembered seeing Jamarcus’s review and decided to try it out. Going inside Was a bit sentimental because I used to frequent the location when it was Fuddruckers. Seeing how chic it was inside surprised me. Any who, the sweet rice desserts are in little containers enclosed by plastic wrap. You take a tray and put as many as you want in it. The prices and food names are listed above the food. I don’t remember all of what I ordered but I tried to sample all of the red bean treats. I also ordered an iced chai latte. The drink was way too syrupy. I should’ve gone with my original choice–iced ginger tea. The treats weren’t bad but they all had the same smell which really took away from the taste and flavor. I’d return to try the ginger tea and pre-wrapped treats like the red bean mochi I believe I saw at the front counter. Overall, it’s ok. The interior design is better than the food. forkcetious.com
FINALLY!!. I can’t believe no one’s thought of this earlier, but there’s FINALLY a Korean rice cake establishment in GA, specifically Duluth!! I love Korean rice cake or dduk and grew up eating these as a child, so I was ecstatic to discover Sweet Rice by Gwinnett Mall. The inside is beautifully decorated with plenty of seating, and there are two walls full of beautifully made rice cakes as far as the eye can see. If you’ve had mochi, it’s basically the same thing-chewy, usually filled, and mildly sweet. Sweet Rice has over 50+ kinds of dduk choices, with the average pricing between 45-50 cents-some are higher priced than others, but even with mere pocket change (19 cents to be exact), you can find some tasty goodness here! Welcome to the neighborhood-they’re here to stay!! 😀 bellavivere.blogspot.com
