The restaurant had a Nice atmosphere, clean restaurant, and fresh new feeling inside. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and it had a nice presentation. But the taste was a little lacking as my grilled fish was a little too crispy.
Let me start by saying I love Jalapenos but I didn’t order my favorite tonight. My favorite is the Molcajete (which I think is Spanish for mortar, as in mortar and pestle). It is served in a freaking hot mortar, and is phenomenally delicious. Tonight I ordered the Chilli Poblanos, one of the house specualties, which are poblano peppers stuffed with beef or chicken, covered in egg, fried, and topped with cheese. Sounds awesome but they were just ok. Definitely spicy for Americans like me but I like a little spice. It came with rice, beans and guacamole. I ate the guac with my complimentary chips. I also ordered a side of soft, warm corn torillas ($1) to help with the spice I knew I was about to encounter. I always get a Margarona, which is a large Margarita with a Corona added upside down. One drink is all you need as it really is 2-3 drinks. Of course I also had the complementary chips and salsa which is great. If you order a side of guacamole then they will make it table-side so you know it’s fresh. My neighbor table ordered this (see pics). Overall a good place.
I really enjoyed this Mexican restaurant. We went in for lunch during the week. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The waitress made frequent stops by our table and the food came out pretty quickly. Everything we had was good. I would recommend this place if you’re craving good Mexican.
We walked in on a Saturday evening and it was extremely busy but the wait was not too long. We got a table within 10 minutes. The chips and salsa they give you is very good as it is fresh and the chips are hot off the stove. We ordered the Horchata to drink and it was excellent. Very refreshing and not too heavy. For the entrees, we ordered the Molcajete and the Tacos al Pastor. The Tacos were very good! The combination of pork and pineapple really works. Unfortunately, the Molcajete was too spicy. We made the mistake of ordering it ‘hot’. The meats and the shrimps in it were delicious though. Unfortunately, the spiciness offset the deliciousness of the dish. Overall, this place is value for money.
Not good. Guacamole was bland mush, salsa looked lined they opened a can of whole tomatoes and poured in a bowl. There was an entire tomatoes, couldn’t dip. Bland. Lunch Fajitas were ok. Chicken and shrimp ok, steak was like jerky. We both left food on our plates, did not want to take home.
