Not impressed rice smelled scorched, salad consisted of iceberg lettuce and 3 half slices of cucumber.

Great food, great atmosphere, good service. Miwa’s serves the best sushi in Savannah area and there isn’t a close second, in my opinion. The sushi is always fresh and reasonably priced.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. I highly recommend if you’re in the Savannah area.

Being half Japanese, I often look for decent restaurants, an I am often disappointed. Down the 95 cooridor, I stopped in for dinner, and while it set me back 2 hours, moral was high by the time we left. Thick miso, strong sencha, perfectly sticky rice, and expertly done katsu with kikkoman tonkatsu sauce. If you like dumplings with fresh ingredients, avoid the appetizers. Miyazaki’s Castle In The Sky played at the sushi counter, and while our food was slow, it was worth the wait. Small place, but there was no waiting during the dinner rush. Surprisingly, No noodles, and 75% of the menu is sushi, so something to keep in mind when you hit this family run gem in Pooler GA.

Food is ok but the place is a bit cramped. For me, the better experience is at Sawa Hibachi down the road.

Worth a 20 minute drive. My wife and I live a few exits down 95 and no sushi place in our hometown comes close to Miwa. We gladly make the drive to get some of the best sushi around! The salmon, yellowtail, and whitefish are always amazing.
