I’ve been here several times and have never been impressed by the food. Now that they’re next to Village Deli, walk next door and get a meal you’ll want to repeat.

Wonderful soulfood. Had the fried chicken, macaroni, and greenbeans. Hubby had the pork chop, yams, and cabbage. Everything was absolutely great. The Chicken and pork chops were the best I’ve ever eaten. All of the sides were well seasoned and fresh. The yams were delicious. Can’t wait to return!

Amazing southern cooking. Anyone who has a negative review about Big Mamas clearly haven’t eaten there. This is the only real soulfood around. I’ve eaten here for over two years. The ribs are a signature, the mac and cheese is the best. I dine in a lot and everyone always praise the mac and cheese. Just amazing overall. Keep doing what you’re doing Big Mamas!

Not recommended … I’ve had better. Went here today because I heard it was good. Highly disappointed. Ribs were dry, lacked sauce, and had funny scent. Mac and cheese was greasy, mushy, not good. Cabbage had no taste. Corn muffin was good tho. Sweet potatoe pie too sweet. I’ve definitely had better. Try goolsby in evans! Definitely won’t be eating there. I don’t know how anu body can say the food was good.

Not too happy at all. … I tried this restaurant twice and soul food is my favorite food..The fist time I tried the fried chicken which was salty, the collards which was vinegary, and the mac n cheese which tasted like mashed potatoes. ..I guess because my mom was an excellent cook I find myself always comparing other cooks to my mom…The second time about 1 year later I had the fried pork chops, mac n cheese, and the collards and it tasted exactly the same. .I also ordered a slice of key lime cake which was undercooked, and a slice of sweet potato pie which was overcooked and too sweet. ..they have an excellent menu selection and nice waitresses, I just think that the cook should get some recommendations and be willing to change the recipes up a little. ..

I was very disappointed. MY Big Momma’s food would have never tasted like that. I will just break it down since I had my own meal and sampled others. The greens had no flavor, they were just boiled in water with no seasoning. The chicken was fried in old grease. The yams had a good flavor but were over cooked. The mac and cheese, good flavor but mushy. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box with gravy from a jar. Ribs were tough, no flavor and coleslaw tasted flat, no flavor. Oh, and my corn muffin was cold and hard. So there you have it. I guess if I want good soul food I’ll stick to making myself.
