Since the previous owner has left, it has definitely gone downhill. I was very disappointed last night. Food was given to me cold. I had to send it back, which I’ve never done before in the past. Not sure if I’ll be back.10 Apr, 2014By far my favorite chinese restaurant ever. I ate at china for years. Unfortunately had to move out of the area and haven’t been able to find anything that comes close. Anytime I visit Augusta, china is my go to place for dinner. The General Tso chicken is the best!
Bad Twice Over. Being from out of town, I was in the need during the aftermath of the recent ice storm to get some food and chose China because of it’s close proximity to National Hills where I was staying. There was a long wait that evening seeing most in the area were without power and that didn’t seem to bother me. What did bother me was their chicken chow mien that had very little chicken in it. Well, today I decided to give it another chance ordering some spring rolls and crab ragoon as a takeout. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time for something that’s pre-made to be fried, I walked to the counter and asked how much longer on the order. The cook, who had come from the kitchen seeing the younger clerk was hunched down behind the counter playing on his cellphone, then turned and handed me my food which had been sitting behind the counter in a bag for who knows how long. As for the quality of what I ordered, the spring rolls were unusually hard as were the crab ragoons. It almost tasted like the food had been ordered hours ago, not picked up, and simply reheated to avoid the loss. In addition, the tea tasted horrible like it had been sitting all day and the Coke was flat. Avoid this place if you can!
Fav chinese resturaunt. Found this place 2 years ago. back then it took them 3 hours to deliver my food. i ended up getting a free meal credit. their food was great and i decided to give it another chance. 2 years later, they have always been timely since the incident. every now and again they add veggies when i say no veggies but thats the worst i can say. the people are friendly and i love love LOVE their food! most chinese places in augusta i have tried don’t have very good food so i love that i found this place!
WONDERFUL!!! Excellent value, clean, & very consistent! Great lunch buffet! In National Hills PUBLIX shopping center. A MUST IF YOU’RE IN THE MOOD FOR CHINESE!!!!
Great. If this is the China next to publix’s across from Kroger than i have been going there since i was little i am 19 and since i was little they have been the only place in Augusta my mother will get food from. they are clean and have a great lunch special. The food is the best in Augusta they make gravy like old southern blacks. And there cooks know what they are doing. They know my order when i call and the have my number. They maybe short on the phone but it only takes them 30 seconds to get a order, which is always correct for me.
A Good Chinese Restaurant. I LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was Great
I have never written a bad review on anything. Until now. I generally always look for the positive and report that, or nothing. However, the way I was treated by this restaurant was unacceptable. After a long day of work, I decided to order for delivery. After 45 minutes, I called to check the status and was advised the food was en route. As a bachelor who orders delivery periodically, I always give deference to those who are trying to bring dinner. After an extra half hour and still no good, I called back to cancel my order. The lady was less than helpful, though she said she would call the driver and cancel the order and promptly hung up on me. So I went to Arby’s, ce back with dinner when the food finally arrived. After 90 minutes I was offered the food at half off so the driver wouldn’t have to pay it. I only had five dollars left which I gave to the driver even though he tried to tell me it was only an hour before, not 90 minutes that it was ordered. Either way, an hour or hour and a half, 20 dollars for cold chineese food is not what any customer deserves. Also being hung up on while offering the courtesy to call the restaurant and cancel is also not the type of customer service that one with hard earned money should expect. I would avoid delivery from this restaurant. While I do not blame the driver, it should not take an hour and a half to deliver food less than a quarter mile away. I was treated as second class for putting them out with my impatience despite attempts at explaining why the order was being cancelled; nor was I accusatory or rude in this process. There are other chineese restaurants nearby ( even written raving reviews on them) just can’t bring myself to say anything positive about the establishment. I do feel badly for the driver, not his fault they over burden him with orders.
