Amazing. Delicious, well-spiced Indian cuisine. Service is slower than most restaurants because there are two people working the service and cooking, but worth the wait. Complementary brownie dessert is simply the best – truly decadent!
Fantastic. Large portions, friendly owners and great taste… I was impressed. Everything was good. Better than the other Indian I’ve had in town. I will definitely be coming back. Brownie ice cream dessert was amazing (and getting it offered complimentary was even better). Highly recommended.
Btw. The only reason the service is slow is the owners are old but they move as fast as they can. Plus there’s two people running it: one person serving and one person cooking. We were content and felt like they did their best. It was worth the wait.04 Feb, 2015It took my family several attempts to get here, but now I wish that we had come sooner. It is the BEST place in Augusta or Evans for Indian cuisine. Huge portions and delicious food. The owners are beautiful people with family pictures hanging throughout the restaurant. They gave our family complimentary dessert. Clean restaurant and bathroom, too. Go!Check restaurant hours first.
Katie P. My boyfriend and I tried India Cafe for the first time last night. It was an excellent experience! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. It was almost like we were guests in someone’s home. The naan! The naan was sooo delicious. Also they make the best Saag Paneer that I have had in Augusta. This is a great place fore vegetarians, and the portions are large. We both got the vegetarian dinner, and we had plenty left over. We will definitely be back!
I was the first one in as they opened, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The place is small but clean, and everything was prepared fresh. The items I ordered were delicious. This is a place for your Must Try list.
I was looking forward to a good Indian meal, but! First, the service is terribly slow. You cannot expect much, when the person tending to customers also assists in the kitchen. It took them 20 mins to ask me for a drink. The appetizer was the size of a main course. It was too spicy for me. I wanted to order another dish but it was assumed I wanted a dessert! All in all, if you need food in a jiffy, this is not the place to be. The flavored were good though!
