Rhinehart’s is an Augusta hole in the wall place with amazing seafood! Picnic tables, paper plates, condiments and a paper towel roll stored in an old 6 pack beer carrier as your center piece and sharpie graffiti every square inch…If you are ok with the above or at least look past it– wait, you can’t…it’s everywhere. Do not let the BEYOND casual appearance keep you from enjoying the awesome seafood!!! My favorite is the flaky fried shrimp basket served with fries! My husband loves the oysters. My entire family loves the crab legs and the garlic bread. My boys enjoy looking at the graffiti while we wait on our food. It is fun to find messages that you left on previous trips or recognizing a note left by a friend!

Restaurant. I came into Rhinehart to eat n I ask for a beer, the lady didn’t even ask for id n I was shocked. I could of brought my son in here in ask for a beer for him n he is 13, they could be selling beer n liquor to minors. I look like I’m 16yrs old didn’t ask for id. Really?

The shine is off…. Rhinehart’s has been one of my favorite places for almost 20 years. Their fried shrimp is the best in town. Bar none. That said, I’m afraid they’ve crossed the line from beyond casual to beyond clean. The last time we were at the Washington Road location, it smelled sour and dirty. This is no longer a place I feel comfortable taking out of town guests. Sorry Rhineharts…hose it down, soap it up, and give the place a good cleaning.

Will not be returning. I’ve been in Augusta for three years and Rhinehart’s has been a favorite restaurant in the city. I’ve gone as frequently as every week, but I will not be returning after my last visit. I have never been happy with the service, but the food is good, so I endured. In my last couple of visits I got the impression that people who looked like me were not considered valued customers. I initially thought that the service was just poor, but my last visit makes me think the treatment is reserved for people of a certain color. I was rudely turned away for not having my ID. The girl working the desk was rude, but I returned to car for my ID because it’s the policy to provide ID. I ended up walking back in a few steps behind a friend who I observed was not asked to provide ID and was once again rudely asked to provide ID. After sitting down at the table, I was shocked to find out that of the group of 5, only two were asked to provide identification, myself and the other person of color at the table. I will not be spending anymore money in a place where I am not considered a valued customer. No thanks….

Don’t bother. People say the food is great. I can’t get beyond the mess and the picnic tables

Bad service, ids were checked when we walked through the door, sat down to order, and was asked to leave since we were under 21 and it was after 5. All we wanted was to eat.
