Delicious BBQ, nationally recognized. Pulled pork, chipped better, turkey, chicken, the best hash around, good tea and depending on the time of year, ducks to feed when you’re done with your meal. Several nice fires keep the dining rooms warm in the winter. Fast, friendly service. Three sauces, mild, hot and vinegar. Meals come with hash, mildly spicy pickles, bread and your choice of slaw, potato salad or more hash. Order tea and a pitcher of it will be left on your table so you don’t need to wait on refills. The pork or beef, especially with the vinegar won’t soon be forgotten. Neither will the server’s outfits from a long gone era. Try Augusta’s best BBQ, so good it got the owner elected mayor!
