Fish (Fried) Takos. Sooo good!
I am addicted to Takosushi!!! I’ve been here 4 times in the past two weeks. One of the times our waitress was HORRIBLE!! She forgot the plates for our appetizers, my soup, chop sticks, soy sauce and refills. The sad part was that it was not even busy! I recommend the tempura asparagus as the appetizer and I love the V.O. Roll and Dan 49ers roll. My fianc really was not into sushi but was happy there was a Mexican option.
Takosushi is a GREAT Augusta Original! Takosushi is the restaurant that turned me onto sushi. You can find cheaper at other restaurants but that doesn’t necessarily translate to better food. If you’ve never tried Takosushi you should, I recommend the Kevin roll.
Variable quality. I’ve dined in at Takosushi on several occasions and have ordered take out several times as well. Each dining experience was on a weekend evening and was okay. The dining room is a bit crowded and the tables are way too close (that is unless you like partaking in every conversation in your vicinity). The food was good, but nothing spectacular, although the concept is unique.My biggest complaint is the variability of the quality of their sushi. I love sushi, and ordered it a few time for take out because it is the closest sushi to me. Sometimes it’s been good, other times it’s been horrible, with the fish tasting like it should’ve been thrown out with yesterday’s garbage. After my last horribly fishy experience with white tuna and eel, I chose to wipe Takosushi off of my list before they ruined my love of sushi. They should consider having sushi roll specials in order to sell the fish before it goes bad and order fresh shipments more often. If you choose to order sushi there, just make sure it’s close to a delivery date.
I really enjoyed my Jesse roll. Also had the shrimp and corn chowder, but it was just barely better than a canned soup
Questionable. The atomsphere is just…….BLAAAH. I did’t feel comfortable there and I honestly can not tell you why. It may be the sitting arrangement of the dining room……I don’t know. I had the crazy suzan I think, and it was okay. Too much sauce. The service was okay.
Just great. Great food, great service. Our waitress always remembers what we want. The only problem was once we got sat in a section that didn’t have a waitress working it. Otherwise, fantastic all around.
