Manager is a jerk. I went in for some ice cream this past weekend and was off put by how dirty the play room was. I’m very glad that I don’t have little ones of my own. The ice cream was good, but the manager wouldn’t shut up long enough for me to eat it before it melted. Based on my experience, I would not come back to this establishment.
Mike G.. The only place for ice cream in Richmond Hill. The Ice Cream Stop has a wonderful selection of premium ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, and Italian ices. The atmosphere is wonderful; reminiscent of a 1950’s soda fountain with a flare for trains (there is an O Gauge layout around the store suspended from the ceiling). What makes The Ice Cream Stop special is Mr. Bill, the owner, and his interaction with you the customer. I will guarantee that he’ll make you want to come back again again — not just for the great sweet treats either! Weather permitting, Friday and Saturday nights are particularly special at The Ice Cream Stop, when the outside wall of the store turns into Richmond Hill’s only Drive In Theater! Mr. Bill plays a PG or below movie Friday nights and a G movie Saturday night — it is a family favorite — great anytime of the year. Watch in comfort from inside your car using the radio to transmit the audio, or bring a lawn chair or two and use the house speakers. The movie is of course complimented by great frozen treats, or partake in traditional movie foods such as candy, hot pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs, and sodas. Bring your Dog – they get a free scoop of ice cream to be enjoyed outside, of course.Great place to celebrate your birthday or host a party (birthday, sports, military function, etc.).
This is our family’s favorite spot in Richmond Hill! Great ambiance for family fun, always friendly service and very clean. They plan many family events like weekly movie nights or bouncy houses on special days. It is defiantly a great idea to plan a trip to The Ice Cream Stop!
Mr. Bill scoops up great tasting ice cream and other treats. You can come in for a hot dog or nachos too. We LOVE it!
