Terrible management. The food is fine, but the lack of professionalism by the manager ruins this place. We showed up on 5 minutes early for our reservation only to be told by the manger that they had closed the kitchen early because it was a slow night. We didn’t receive a phone call in advance.
Great LunchWhile Bocado has a wonderful looking dinner menu, we heard that lunch was a great time to visit. There are several items on the lunch menu that arent available at dinner.I had the grilled cheese with the tomato bisque. The sandwich and soup were both delicious. My wife got the roasted cauliflower and eggplant sandwich. She really enjoyed hers as well.There are lots of other interesting things on the menu and I hope that Ill get to try them in the future.The setting is a sort of industrial chic and the service is friendly and professional.
Not impressed. After seeing reviews of people raving about this place and specifically their burger, I will admit that I had higher expectations. So out comes the burger I ordered and let me say we didn’t even have our drinks yet (a soda and a lemonade) and it looks like the burger could be good. It was decent but just a plain burger, nothing special and it definitely tastes straight out the freezer. So the burger was edible though it was like eating a cheeseburger off a kids menu. The service though was terrible! As I said we got our food before our drinks, the water they automatically give you apparently doesn’t come with a refill. Our server didn’t check on us again , someone else even dropped off the check. Needless to say I will not returnw
The burger is really very good. It is the typical upscale burger concept similar to H&F. The other entree options are great as well. I once had a fish entree with a cauliflour puree which was fantastic. There is a good drink menu and the service is nice. Do not go here without a reservation with a large group, not a whole lot of room.
Odd in a bad way. My prosciutto wrapped trout had like 20 different ingredients, and they did not complement each other. It was like the chef was assigned olives, oranges, celeriac and told to make something with it. It tasted like student work, basically. My date had the chicken, which he said was overcooked and the cornbread croutons were all wrong for the dish. Apparently burger and fries is the only thing worth ordering. Oh and these took 30 minutes to come out and the restaurant wasn’t close to full. Not surprisingly, we won’t be back.
Average Burger. I was hopeful that their burger was going to be something special. Overall not a bad burger but not worth the price. It was average for the price and less than a mile away there are much better burger places. Nice restaurant and good service average burger!
Very good!. We went for Valentines dinner, we had never been and I was thrilled with how great the food was! We had the broccoli appetizer which was unlike anything I’ve ever had-delicious! I had the chicken for dinner and would go back to get it in a second. My boyfriend had the steak but couldn’t stop eating my chicken-he wished he had gotten it too! Very good food and a nice environment!
