Saw this place on the Travel channel so I figured I would check it out. The menu is mostly drinks but they do serve Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Order a ginger ale but it clearly wasn’t ginger, nor ale. It definitely tasted like the shady Sprite/Coke mixture. We asked the waiter was kind of ginger ale it was and he shrugged his shoulders and said it was from the tap. The chips & salsa were good but you had to pay two bucks for them. No big deal. I ordered the Carne Asada platter as it was the special for he week. The steak was cooked well and the platter had a good presentation. Didn’t like how I had to make each taco myself and cut up the ingredients though. If I had known, I would have just ordered tacos. My wife got the Mole Platter and seemed very satisfied. The service overall was pretty dry. Waiter had no personality and didn’t seem to be well informed or engaging. We didn’t order drinks so I imagined we missed out on what they do best. There is a much better taco place in Ponce City Market so I doubt I will ever visit again.
I was very very displeased with my service. The hostess, was very rude and told us to hold on, and wait when we had been standing there for 10 minutes. And no one had asked us how many people we had or anything at all. No one in front of us. The hostess was too busy talking to one guy for 10 minutes. Then when we FINALLY got a table, it took another 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Later on, the waitress was really nice, but still messed up a lot of our requests. It was not a pleasant experience AT ALL. And I will not be going back.

My favorite Mexican place. This little spot has character in the service, atmosphere, and menu. Lots of tequila to try. 10/10
This place is awesome. I come here whenever I’m in Atlanta.
Awesome!. Wow! Yes it’s small. Yes they are busy. BUT… Is TOTALLY worth it! Great service, incredible food, cool atmosphere. Only negative is that it’s super loud. Other than that…I would totally go back again and again. I had a margarita and a Michelada beer. Plus a cheese enchilada, a chicken tamale, a chorizo empanada, and corn on the cob with spices, mayonnaise and cheese. Mmm! Our server was awesome and the food incredible! plus we had churros, which are only available on Saturdays! OMG!!
MY ALL TIME FAVE PLACE!!!!. My husband and I started going to this joint when we first moved back to the Atlanta area together while we were still dating, and it has become a family favorite as it has grown!!! Be sure to order queso and a side of chorizo…you’ll thank me later! The lingua, Al Pastor, and El Carbon tacos are out of this world! I have dreams sometimes about the Lingua! All of the Dia Des Los Muertos theme is right up our alley, and of course, it can’t hurt that this place is the sister restaurant to the Vortex!!! All the food is so authentic Baja peninsula style, and don’t even get me started on the MARGS!!!! I am a member of the tequila club, and let’s leave it at that! Put’s a smile on my face just thinking about it!
