Chuck’s was one of my favorite go-to restaurants when I worked in Tech Square. I became a regular and was always greeted politely by the Chuck’s staff. I would frequently order a tuna salad sandwich with fries, the chili, or an Italian sandwich. They are seriously a great sandwich place and in my honest opinion, underrated. You can get a nice sized sandwich for less than $10. Combo (soup, half sandwich) lunches were also a favorite of mine too. If you go, you’d be amiss to not pick up one of their cookies. They are so good. SO GOOD. Even my mom would ask me to bring her a chicken salad sandwich and chocolate chip cookie back. This place gets packed around lunch though, so if you go, and you should, go early or wait until the rush is over. OR, order online. You won’t be disappointed unless you have no soul. forkcetious.com

Good food, nice people. As a Tech student, I stop into Chuck’s sometimes for lunch. Never disappoints. I like the burger a lot, but as a fry lover, this place is my pitstop for the fry addiction. They’re thin, crisp, and light. DON’T forget the BBQ sauce for dipping — I would eat that sh*t on anything. It’s spicy, tangy, sweet, not too thick. I like all kind of BBQ and this one is up there on my favorites list!! And on top of all that good food for a reasonable price (it’s not McDonald’s, mind you), the staff is always really nice and welcoming.
I’m so glad this place is on tech square! It’s a great place for lunch. The sandwiches looked small at first but it really filled me up! My favorites are the deluxe po boy and the clam chowder on Fridays. They have great broccoli and cheese on Thursdays too!
Disappointed. Was looking forward to going for about a week before I had a chance and was very disappointed. Very small portions for the money. Got the Italian Beef. Was expecting something like Portillo’s which may not have been fair. Not even close. Bread was dry instead of chewy, meat was average, au jus was bland. Got red beans and rice on the side … maybe I have never had true New Orleans red beans and rice but these were VERY dry, almost tasted like dried beans were added after the rice was cooked. Flavor was good though. Might give one more try for the Thanksgiving sandwich but not what I was hoping for.
