Gios for MioGios is owned by the same folks who have neighboring and great Antico Pizza. Gios is almost as good for chicken as Antico is for Pizza. It just doesnt have the same fun atmosphere as Antico.Like Antico, Gios has a simple menu. Each dinner is a half chicken and the couple of options we tried were both great. Dinners are accompanied by a very nice side salad and a good piece of toasted garlic bread. I didnt really care for the chunk of potato, but that is just a personal preference.I would definitely go back for some more wonderful chicken.
Ate lunch here on a Sunday and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken w/ oranges and my girlfriend had the penne pasta w/ sausage. We were both impressed. The food comes out quickly and you get quite a bit of it. Including drinks( they only sell cans and 20 oz Coke products) our meal was around $40 which is a little high but I felt was worth every bit of it. I’d recommend trying it to anyone.
One of my Atlanta favorites. The Diavolo Chicken is something I have had dreams about. All of the chicken dishes are moist and slow roasted and come with the most delicious potatoes and bread. The pasta dishes are simple but extremely flavorful. The Sunday only Spaghetti and Meatballs is so fantastic and worth trying. I traveled in Italy for few months and this is the only place I have been to Stateside that compares to true Italian food. The atmosphere is casual and very European. This is a must try.
Very enjoyable!. My family and I happened upon Gios for lunch yesterday. Everything was delicious and – if you like chicken – you will surely enjoy the food here. The restaurant is bare bones – some large, communal tables and accompanying chairs – but beyond that it lacks any real decorating flare… which is okay, because the food makes up for it. We will definitely go back!
Absurdly great chicken. Tad bit pricey, but as you’re eating, price is the last thing that enters your mind.
Disappointed. Whenever I am nearby the area around dinner time, I usually stop by and take out an order of the lemon Sorrento chicken. It is the best there is. However, last night’s was not as good. The sauce was watery and it lacked the strong garlic-lemon sauce I crave so much. I don’t know if Gio is on vacation or quality-control was not operating, but I was diappointed.
Great ingredients make for great food
